• Aeromedicine is the branch of preventive medicine and occupational medicine which studies the influence of flying, aircraft and flying environment on the organism of flight crew, parachutists, air traffic passengers etc., and which tries to prevent negative impact of flying on life and health of men and occurrence of extraordinary events and disasters (characterized by big human losses, material damages and environmental disturbances). Furthermore, aeromedicine present significant component of aviation safety.
• •  Albanian Civil Aviation Authority carries out certification of:
    • medical fitness of aviation personnel,
    • aeromedical centers (AeMC),
    • Aeromedical examiners.
