Flight Operations
There are following kinds of flight operations:
Commercial Air Transport (transport of passengers, cargo and mail by air for remuneration or other means of compensation)
Non-Commercial Operations with Complex Motor Powered Aircraft
Specialized Operations (aerial work)
State Operations (police, customs, SAR flights…)
Non-Commercial Operations with Other than Complex Motor Powered Aircraft
Non- Commercial Operations with non-motor powered aircraft
Flight operations may be carried out by aircraft, which are in accordance with Regulation (EC) 216/2008 of European Parliament and Council from the 20th of February, 2008,(MO No 3, date 07.02.2011) under EASA jurisdiction and by aircraft which are in accordance with Annex II of Regulation (EC) 216/2008 of European Parliament and Council from the 20th of February, not under EASA jurisdiction, but have been issued Certificate of Airworthiness issued in accordance with ICAO Convention or Permit to fly.
For correct application of the rules and regulations it is essential to know the definition of complex motor powered aircraft:
a) An airplane:
with a maximum certificated take-off mass exceeding 5 700 kg, or certificated for a maximum passenger seating configuration of more than nineteen, or certificated for operation with a minimum crew of at least two pilots, or equipped with (a) turbojet engine(s) or more than one turboprop engine, or
b) A helicopter certificated:
For a maximum take-off mass exceeding 3 175 kg, or
For a maximum passenger seating configuration of more than nine, or
For operation with a minimum crew of at least two pilots, or
c) A tilt rotor aircraft;
